    How do you sync your breath with your movements? If you were to get precise about timing your inhales and exhales while transitioning smoothly, what would the ideal rhythm be?

    I attempted a 4-2-8 pattern (4 seconds inhale, 2 seconds hold, 8 seconds exhale), and it made performing a sun salutation quite difficult. The extended exhales between poses were really challenging.

    Do you have any other breathing rhythms that help you achieve that flow state? What does your practice look like?

    A friend of mine used to practice yoga regularly but stopped when she found out she was pregnant. Now, she's having a really hard time getting back into it. She thought she would be back in the swing of things by now, but she feels very unfocused, exhausted, and completely unmotivated.

    Does anyone have tips or advice for her? She feels like she's lost touch with her body and misses that connection deeply. She's also feeling strange and weak in her new postpartum body. 💔


  • How to keep my mat clean ?

    Honestly, I never clean my mat after hot yoga, which I know is pretty gross. I just roll it up and use it again without thinking twice. If you’re better at this than I am, how do you clean your mat without it ending up smelling like harsh cleaning products? I want to avoid breathing in strong chemicals like Clorox but definitely need to clean my mat. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    I usually get headache if I don't get proper sleep due to any reason and then that causes severe headache which mostly lasts for a day or two. It travels around my head and also affects my eyes. Anything that can help me with it ?

    I didn't have to do much actually luckily! My partner is into breathing techniques by his own curiosity. Infact he knows more than me, so I get educated every once in a while haha

    I've started reading English translation of Patanjali's Yoga Sutra, to understand the philosophy and nuances of Yoga. Then I also bought Asana Pranayama Mudra Bandha (yet to read) to get overview of asanas

    Travelling usually makes my body stiff and tired. I've noticed I do stretches before going to bed during days I'm exhausted with all the travel.

    I've tried to take the route of making rituals. Dedicating a special place in my home just for yoga. Everytime I am near that place, I make sure I slip in atleast one pose practice if not a complete 30 minutes routine

    I try to take support for difficult stretches, walls being my favorite support friends !

    I usually try to incorporate it using my food intake. It has helped me to truly observe my hunger and appetite.

    I was personally always curious about what lies beyond the physical brain, the mind and consciousness. So much so that I ended up doing a masters in Cognitive Science !
