Namaste. I had to take a slightly long break from practice and its been 2 n half weeks since i restarted, but it is hard to gain back the strength, confidence and energize myself to keep going. Any particular practice that i shoulf focus on to get back on track? The fear to do certain inversions which i used to do before, muscle soreness and stiffness makes it feel like 60 mins classes are hard to achieve especial when its an upper body focused class. Any tips from your experience?

What is the best treatment for a sleeping disorder?Always consult a qualified healthcare professional to rule out any serious medical conditions before beginning any alternative or complementary therapies.
Yogic Breathwork & Meditation:
Practice Bhramari, Nadi Shodhan and Chandra Bhedana pranayamas to activate the parasympathetic system, reduce overthinking, and induce deep rest. Pair with Yoga Nidra and Ajapa Japa meditation to slow brainwaves to theta level, improving sleep depth.Satvik Diet & Naturopathic Detox:
Follow a light, warm, and easily digestible Satvik dinner by 7 PM (e.g., khichdi, boiled vegetables). Weekly naturopathic detox (like warm lemon water fasting or enema) cleanses the gut, supporting melatonin balance and sleep initiation.Daily Lifestyle & Sleep Rhythm (Dinacharya)
Wake up with sunrise, avoid daytime naps, limit screen use post-sunset, and use cooling foot baths before bed. Early dinner, self-abhyanga (oil massage), and reading spiritual texts before sleep reset the body’s biological clock naturally.Sujok & Marma Point Activation:
Stimulate Sujok sleep points on the thumb and pineal zone on the palm using a probe or seed therapy. Apply gentle pressure on Tala Hridaya Marma, Shankha Marma, and Sthapani to relax the nervous system and promote calm.Psychological Tools & Mind Training:
Use yogic counselling tools like Pratipaksha Bhavana to replace fear or anxiety with faith and calm. Maintain a gratitude journal, practice positive affirmations and avoid mental stimulation post-evening to calm manomaya kosha. -

Can yoga be added to the Olympics? While yoga is a deeply revered practice with a rich history and numerous benefits, its essence may not align with the competitive nature of the Olympics. Yoga is traditionally a personal journey that focuses on inner peace, mindfulness, and self-awareness rather than competition. Additionally, the spiritual and meditative aspects of yoga may be lost in a competitive setting. However, there are events like the World Yoga Championships that showcase practitioners' skills and flexibility, so there are platforms where yoga can be celebrated in a competitive manner without compromising its core principles. Ultimately, promoting yoga for its holistic benefits and positive impact on individuals' well-being may be more in line with its true essence than turning it into an Olympic sport.

Is it really necessary to join yoga classes to do yoga? While joining a yoga class can offer guidance, structure, and community support, it is not absolutely necessary to practice yoga. Many people find success in establishing a personal practice at home. There are numerous resources available, such as online tutorials, books, and videos that can help you develop a yoga routine that suits your needs and abilities. However, attending classes can deepen your practice by providing hands-on instruction, correction of alignment, and the opportunity to learn from experienced teachers and fellow practitioners. Ultimately, the choice to join a class or practice at home depends on your individual preferences and goals in yoga.

Is it good to do yoga in the evening at 7:30PM?Yes, practicing yoga in the evening at 7:30 PM can be beneficial for many people. It can help you unwind and release any tension or stress accumulated throughout the day, preparing your body and mind for a restful night's sleep. Evening yoga can also improve flexibility and help you connect with your breath, promoting relaxation and a sense of calm before bedtime. Just be mindful not to do vigorous or stimulating practices close to bedtime, as they may energize you instead of helping you wind down for sleep. It's essential to listen to your body and choose a practice that suits how you feel in the evening.
